We are located on the second floor, above the Aladin Car Wash on the North Side of Hastings Street and Fell Avenue. You can walk past the fence to enter through a side door on your right. Parking is available on the side streets or in the Tim Hortons lot. Please use the Northeast when it is available—this area includes Lifemoves’ unmarked and designated spots.
Health and Safety
Lifemoves is a neuroinclusive and neuro-affirming space. It is also scent-free. Please do not wear cologne or perfume to your sessions. Strong odours can cause illness in both practitioners and clients.
Other Policies
1. Help us keep our floors clean by bringing indoor shoes to your sessions. There is a bench at the top of the stairs where you can change your shoes.
If you are feeling ill on the day of your appointment, please get in touch with us to reschedule.
24-Hour Cancellation Policy: If you are unable to make your appointment, please give us more than 24 hours’ notice; otherwise, you will be charged the full appointment fee. Rescheduling your appointment as soon as possible allows us to book others in your place. Call 604-568-5484
Prices: All prices are inclusive of GST. Prices increase annually in the fall. Changes to service fees are tied to the Consumer Price Index, local market conditions, and the value added by continuing education.
Wait-List: If you don’t see a desired appointment time available, you can contact us or add yourself to the wait-list.

Alfred Ball
(He/Him/His)
Kinesiologist | Fascia Stretch Therapist
Alfred proudly graduated with a Human Kinetics degree specializing in clinical biomechanics and exercise physiology in 1999 from the U of Guelph. He followed this in 2008 with a diploma in Disability and Rehabilitation Management so that he would have a better understanding of how to help people return to work who are on a disability claim.
He completed STOTT Merrithew’s Pilates Mat and Reformer Level 1 in 2004. He took further training on the Stability Chair in 2023. In 2007, he became one of the first certified Fascia Stretch Therapists in British Columbia.
Additionally, he became certified in Stretch To Win’s Level 3 Fascia Stretch Therapy in September 2025. This new level of manual therapy focuses on joint mobility, reducing nerve tension, and connecting to the nervous system.
As a human movement specialist, Alfred’s strengths lie in working with clients who have chronic health conditions and musculoskeletal injuries. Clients appreciate his compassion, his humour, his focus on their well-being, and his approach to movement coaching.
Alfred is passionate about creating a safe environment where all humans can thrive through movement. He was diagnosed with ADHD in his late 40s. Alfred is also likely autistic. He started Lifemoves in 2007 because he firmly believes that movement is integral to a lasting positive quality of life.
Lifemoves Human Performance opened in the summer of 2025. His goal is for it to be a place where practitioners and clients feel a sense of belonging. The environment, communication, values, and culture are neuro-affirming, neuroinclusive, and accessible (apart from the stairs).
